Wildboar victory

Its no good... my damn knee's gone again!

He's wearing a gi!

Camoflage shorts are the next big thing in MMA

Either Mike's going for an armbar, or he's just been planted on his head.

Just tap damn it!... Oh, he's asleep...

Combat Sports Open Trials - 2nd Leg

Despite turning up in his school uniform, and with his mom cleaning his face with a bit of tissue, young Stephen still managed to dominate all challengers with his favourite technique, rear naked choke - I mean, triangle choke! Older sibling Mike also performed well in his first visit to Hereford. I predict that both will continue to perform well. Should prove to be an interesting final... brotherly love, eh?

Meanwhile, Rad has slightly less luck than his previous visit, ruined mainly by one particular opponent who refused to yield to a perfectly exeuted guillotine choke. Some people, eh? They just have to upset everyone by insisting on risking blood starvation to the brain rather than submitting. How dare they...

Paul vs Paul

I've got this itch. Would you mind...?

Hold on Paul, just a couple more seconds... nearly got the picture...

"If in doubt, shout Paul. Someone will turn round..." - Paul 3

With Paul 4's shoulder on the mend, Paul 3 said to Paul 1 that Paul 4 is still a bit nervous about his injury, and clinch work is a bit of a no-no at the moment. Paul 1 is still spouting out the usual rubbish of "getting old", "not trained for ages", "being weak" and "only going easy today" before ripping someone's head off.

Meanwhile, Paul 2 and 3 get to grips with the cage.
That reminds me, whatever happened to Paul 5? Anyone seen him recently?

Tales from inside the cage

Good slam, poor hair

Having finally got a few sessions inside the HEX, I can say that it is most definitely... small! There's no escape from some serious takedowns, and Ken apparently loves the fact that no matter where you are, you're always in range for some painful kicks to the legs. I made the mistake of doing some pro stuff with Paul 3, and proceeded to spend the remaining 3min 59sec avoiding the headshots that kept raining down from above. Pulling guard is not an option.

Come back a winner, otherwise don't bother.

Ouch! Why can't we all just get along?

Stephen trying out his very first triangle... ever.

No, its not the same photo - this time working for an armbar

Give us a hand up, would you?

Combat Sports Open Trials - 1st Leg

Congratulations to Stephen "Youngster" Wildboar and National Polish Champion Radoslav Radzivik for their successful trip to Hereford. Sporting a brand new haircut, Stephen surprised everyone with his complete change of game plan, choosing to throw out techniques from the guard. He managed to successfully catch the opposition in armbars and triangle chokes, moves that he claims to have never before attempted, even in training. Meanwhile, Rad simply scared his opponents into submission with his massive muscles, before smacking seven shades of sh*t out of them. A good day for BCC, although I'm concerned that they spent too much time dancing around and not getting stuck in - what happened to the 10 sec win?

Two men enter, one man leaves...

Hands up if you're scared of Paul Holmes

The time grows near for the moment everybody has been waiting for... The Paul Holmes Ring of Pain is almost ready for business. Pictured in a recent competition, Randy was clearly very happy at the news that his next big fight could take place in "The Hexagon".

Apparently, red will help hide the blood stains
